Our new video “Maniac” premiers on PopMatters!June 23, 2011

Our new video for our unreleased song “Maniac” premiered on PopMatters this week! Directed by Seth Graves, the video is about “living in the South, where the people who are supposed to be watching out for you are often out to get you.”

Here’s a little summary from Nashville Scene:

So there’s a judge, and a jail cell, and guns, and a scantily clad local “It girl” getting senselessly popped in the dome. Most importantly, of course, there is music. Rock ‘n’ roll music of a garage-y, Stooges-y ilk, to be precise. Get the popcorn ready — but prepare to either eat your popcorn hastily or not pop very much, as this one clocks in at just over two minutes. Enjoy!

In other news, we’re playing tomorrow at Tidball’s in Bowling Green, KY. Check it out on Facebook.

Sailor Jerry review, come see us in Philly tonight & NYC tomorrow!September 8, 2010

Our record comes out next week… check what Sailor Jerry had to say about it:

What makes this debut such a keeper? Well, it’s a bit hard to put my finger on, as is the band’s music. Songs alternate between dept store guitar-drenched, moody, post-punk snippets and balls-out, 70’s rock n’ roll riffs. It’s these interesting juxtapositions of seemingly incompatible styles and techniques that lift this record out of the genre dumpster and place it up on the repeated listens shelf.

We’re still on tour!! Haven’t been sleeping much but it’s been going great. We’re on that Twitter jive if you wanna read about it (@BadCopNashville) but you should probably just ask us when you come to our shows.

Here’s some info on our next two shows in Philly & NYC right after the jump. Weiterlesen »

Impose calls our upcoming debut album “album of the year”!August 6, 2010

Just received one of the first reviews for our upcoming album “Harvest the Beast”. Not bad. Thanks, Impose!!!

It’s a soulful, greasy, howlin’ whiteboy kind of rant-rock that’s even greater than the sum of all its crazy parts, a frantic, no-holds-barred, “fuck the rules” kind of album that we desperately need right now.

Let’s just say that what we have here is one of the albums of the year, mos def, and leave it at that.

Harvest the Beast will be in all good record stores Sept. 14!
