About

As soon as Bad Cop formed on a hot sweaty Nashville afternoon in 2009, they hit the road. They’ve spent the past two years shaking up the East Coast from Louisiana to NYC, wreaking havoc in the Midwest in Chicago, and even ending up sneaking into Canada for Pop Montreal… well, except for lead singer Adam Anyone who was detained at the border (for reasons we won’t go into right now). These young Nashvillians only slowed down for a quick breather to record their debut album Harvest the Beast, which quickly made it to several Best of 2010 lists. The album, out now on historic NYC label ROIR, is clearly the creation of a band that doesn’t slow down; it’s a guttural wall of sound that penetrates you in a way that could only be from the dirty south.

Now a little older (just old enough to drink), and a little wiser, Adam and a fresh new crew consisting of Mikey Owen, Mikey Frazier and Michael Danger are back in the studio recording a new 7″ for ROIR, just before they get back in the van to tear up North America this summer.

Bad Cop are:
Adam Anyone – vocals, guitar
Mikey Owen – lead guitar
Mike Frazier – bass, drums
Danger – drums

On Harvest the Beast:
Alexander Hartness – Guitar, Interludes, Bass
Kharl Merkley – Percussion, Interludes, Loops
Adam Anyone – Voice, Keys

IMPOSE MAGAZINE SAYS:

It’s a soulful, greasy, howlin’ whiteboy kind of rant-rock that’s even greater than the sum of all its crazy parts, a frantic, no-holds-barred, “fuck the rules” kind of album that we desperately need right now.

Let’s just say that what we have here is one of the albums of the year, mos def, and leave it at that.

CORAZINE SAYS:

Bad Cop’s Harvest the Beast is a brilliant slab of noise pop garage psyche delirium!!!!!!!!!
